If you would like a high protein lunch, or a quick healthy nibble in the afternoon, or, a post-workout snack, then, rustle up these Turkey Pinwheels! Using turkey as an alternative to using bread or a tortilla wrap is a great way to keeping your carbohydrate + gluten levels low!
Recipe type: Low sugar, Snack, Lunch, Gluten free
5 Organic turkey slices
½ a lettuce of your choice
¼ of a medium organic cucumber
1 Chopped organic white onion
1 Organic tomato
Finely chop a tomato, ensure that the pieces of tomato are small to make the pinwheels easier to eat.
Thinly slice the cucumber.
Lay out the turkey slices on to a chopping board.
Wash the lettuce leaves and lay them onto the turkey slices.
Add a small amount of the filling to the centre of the turkey & lettuce slice (using a small amount will prevent any mess whilst eating!)
Roll up the slices tighly (see photograph) and secure with a toothpick!
Serve & enjoy!
