Fall has seriously become one of my favorite seasons. I love everything about it: the smell in the air, the abundance of pumpkins, chunky, cozy sweaters, the beautiful leaves, you name it, I love it! But unfortunately, along with dry fall weather, comes dry, fall air and one thing I DO NOT love is dry skin! Thank goodness for DIY body scrubs! I swear by these sugar scrubs. Not only are they ridiculously easy to make, but your skin will be left silky smooth! So, in honor of Thanksgiving and the lovely fall season, we created this awesome Gingerbread Body Scrub for you. Be prepared to want to eat this scrub up (fun fact: you actually can eat it since all of these ingredients are edible!)
DIY: Gingerbread Body Scrub
1 C organic dark brown sugar
1/4 C almond oil (any oil will work; coconut, olive, etc)
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1. In a mason jar mix all the ingredients together.
2. Apply the scrub onto your body (arms, hands, legs, feet, etc)
3. Massage into skin & wash away with warm water.
4. Voila! Smooth skin!
Personally I feel like I can never have enough scrubs. I mean, who doesn’t love having silky smooth skin right? As I was making this scrub (which took no more than 5 minutes) all I wanted to do was eat it! It smelled THAT good. After using it, my skin felt absolutely amazing. Not only was my skin extremely moisturized, but it was exfoliated to the max from sugar & spices. this is one of my favorite scrubs by far!
